I listened to this book on Audible.
If one is interested in building a foundation on innovation from an academic perspective, this is a great book for that. By academic, I mean, an educated dissecting review, so I mean it in a good way. Taking an academic approach lays a good foundation for later learning. This book is a good business reference for those reasons. Although it gets a bit too technical and detailed (even for an Engineer like me) at times, the book is still excellent in discussing how a variety of companies in a variety of markets struggle with protecting the southwest end of their market positions (the low margin side with undeveloped solutions) while ascending the northeasterly direction (the high margin side with entrenched customers) traditional management practices recommend. The narrator does a great job of delivering this book with some heavy technical jargon. I recommend it as a solid read; just be patient in the couple chapters where he gets a bit geeky with the hard drive technical analyses.
I tend to listen or read business or technical books all the time, but I am not an affiliate marketer. You can see…
